CONTEMPLATIONS

2019

The works of art, titled "Contemplations", are a set of 4 intermedia installations. Each installation consists of two artworks made with water paints on cotton. The main matter was printed bark from trees or shrubs. The paintings have a minimalistic character. The compositions are illuminated from the back. Images are activated by a gentle breeze, they change with its intensity. When the wind blows, the fabrics approach each other and thus create a different picture. During this changes, the observing person has time to contemplate, meditate and completely calm down. The inspiration to create these installations was the art of Japanese ink painting.
